1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of DivineUnion (the “Platform”). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Nature of the Service
DivineUnion is an aggregator and introduction platform, not a matchmaking service. We do not perform matchmaking on your behalf, do not guarantee compatibility or outcomes, and do not vet, investigate, or verify the intentions, background, or identity of members beyond what is described in these Terms (including the optional Trust Verification feature). You are solely responsible for exercising your own judgment, discretion, and caution when communicating with, meeting, or entering into any arrangement with other members.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create a profile. The Platform is intended for individuals seeking a matrimonial introduction, in good faith and with accurate information about themselves.
4. Account & Login
Accounts are accessed using a one-time code (OTP) sent to your email or mobile number, so there is no traditional password to remember. You are responsible for keeping access to your registered email/mobile secure.
5. Accounts Created or Managed on Behalf of Another Person
A family member or someone else you trust may create and manage a profile describing another person, such as a son, daughter, sibling, or other relative seeking a marriage introduction. The account is controlled by whoever it is registered to, meaning the person whose email address or mobile number is used to access it. That person accepts and is bound by these Terms, and is responsible for the account: for keeping the profile information accurate, for all activity carried out through the account, and for any payments made. By creating or managing an account on someone else’s behalf, you confirm that you have that person’s permission to create a profile describing them and to act on their behalf on the Platform.
6. Profile Review & Publication
Every profile is reviewed by our team before it becomes visible to other members. We may reject or request changes to a profile that appears inaccurate, incomplete, or in breach of these Terms, and you will be given a reason and the opportunity to resubmit.
7. Memberships & Payments
Certain features require an active membership. Payments are processed via our payment partner or by bank transfer; see our Refund & Cancellation Policy for how refunds are handled.
8. Trust Verification
You may optionally complete a live video Trust Verification, reviewed manually by our team, to display a verified badge on your profile. Declining Trust Verification does not affect your ability to use other Platform features. Trust Verification is a limited check and is not a substitute for your own independent verification of another member’s identity or intentions.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: misrepresent your identity or intentions; harass, threaten, or abuse other members; use the Platform for commercial solicitation unrelated to matrimonial introductions; or create more than one profile for the same person.
10. Reporting & Moderation
You can report a profile that appears to violate these Terms. We investigate reports and may warn, suspend, or remove accounts found in breach.
11. Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data after deletion.
12. Disclaimers, Safety, and No Responsibility for Third-Party Conduct
We do not guarantee that you will find a match, and we do not have the ability to control or vouch for the conduct of other members. We take no responsibility for, and shall not be liable for, any loss, harm, scam, fraud, misrepresentation, or other issue arising from your interactions with other members or any third party encountered through the Platform.
We strongly recommend following standard safety practices when using the Platform, including: independently verifying the identity of anyone you communicate with; never sending money, gifts, or sharing financial or banking information with someone you have not met in person and do not fully trust; meeting in a public place for initial in-person meetings and telling a friend or family member of your plans; and reporting any suspicious behavior to us immediately using the Report a Profile feature.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DivineUnion is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will require you to re-accept them the next time you visit your dashboard.
